Carl F. Hobert

Chief Education Officer

Carl Hobert has been a K-16 educator since 1983 and is the author of “Raising Global IQ: Preparing our Students for a Shrinking Planet” (Beacon Press).

For 22 years, Mr. Hobert taught and was an administrator at Proctor Academy (NH) and then at Belmont Hill School (MA), before directing the Global Literacy Institute at Boston University. There, his research and fieldwork have focused on improving the conflict management and prevention skills of adolescents and emerging adults through live conflict resolution simulation exercises, and he has worked as a US DOS counter-terrorism consultant in the US and abroad.

Mr. Hobert’s most recent research project, supported by funds from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and the U.S. Department of Education’s Race to the Top program, offers an entire Common Core State Standards-based curriculum entitled “Whose Jerusalem?”, a conflict resolution role-play case study used in middle and high schools around the world.

Mr. Hobert also has native fluency in English, French, and Spanish and a working knowledge of Mandarin and Arabic.

Mr. Hobert has a B.A. in French and Political Science, and an M.A. in Spanish, both from Middlebury College. He also has an M.A. in International Security Studies from the Tufts University Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.


Keith W Salustro

Chief Cybersecurity Officer

Keith Salustro has over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and IT. He has been a CISSP® (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) since 2002. His experience and certifications cover industry-leading security firewalls, authentication systems, content filtering, and endpoint security products, as well as security regulations and standards, including the methodologies of Defense-in-Depth and Zero Trust.

Mr. Salustro has founded several IT security services companies and has conducted network assessments as a white-hat hacker and penetration tester, which resulted in “compromises” and delivered detailed, prioritized assessment reports. Other certifications and experience include digital forensics and he has acted as an expert witness.

Mr. Salustro has a B.A. in Computer Engineering from Brown University.


Todd McGhee

Chief Infrastructure Security Officer

Mr. Todd McGhee is an international speaker on counter-terrorism and violent extremism. He is the author and course developer of the Behavior Observation Skills (BOS) Course and the Airport Physical Screening (APS) Course written for the Department of State, Office of Antiterrorism Assistance. Both courses are currently being delivered around the world to US Partner Nations to help combat global terrorism and to build international relationships. Over the last five years, Todd has personally delivered these courses on four different continents in ten different countries, some countries on multiple occasions.

Mr. McGhee has authored the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Training System® and the Security Awareness and Vigilance for Everyone™ (S.A.V.E.™) course curriculums which are Department of Homeland Security-approved training courses. He has authored, developed, and successfully delivered the Active Shooter Awareness course around the US, which is designed to prepare civilians and private security professionals for the unthinkable.

Mr. McGhee earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and an M.A. in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College in Massachusetts.


Lauren E. Forcucci, Ph.D.

Executive Director

Dr. Forcucci has been a college professor and advisor for over a decade. During this time, she taught and advised in Political Science and Criminal Justice departments at private and public higher education institutions in Massachusetts. Her teaching expertise includes International Relations, Comparative Politics, and Criminal Justice.

Additionally, Dr. Forcucci has developed curricula, departmental programming, written policies, and courses that have been applied campus-wide to improve interdisciplinary learning that meets the needs of a new generation of students. 

Dr. Forcucci also works with students through academic coaching. She teaches students how to develop skills that apply to their lives both in and out of the classroom. Using unique methods that guide students to achieve success, her work has been sought after by individuals and groups to launch students into the next phase of their academic careers. 

Dr. Forcucci has earned a B.A. degree from Regis College in History and International Relations, two M.A. degrees from Brandeis University in Comparative History and Anthropology, and a Ph.D. from Salve Regina University. In addition, she has earned teaching and research certifications. Dr. Forcucci’s dissertation is titled, Cyber-Jihad: Waging Virtual Terror to Create an Online Caliphate.
